The Timberline Ethos

At Timberline Treks, we believe a dog’s world should be as boundless as Maine’s landscapes. Our mission is to provide safe, enriching, and structured canine exercise programs that nurture both body and mind. Through guided off-leash pack excursions, we invite dogs to expand their horizons, building confidence and joy while immersed in the wild beauty of our state.

Our Timberline On-Ramp program empowers owners to strengthen their bond with their dogs, equipping both with the skills and trust to explore together responsibly. We are committed to fostering meaningful connections—between dogs and their people, and between our community and the land we share.

Rooted in respect for nature, canine well-being, and the people who love them, Timberline Treks stands for more than just dog walking: we stand for adventure, stewardship, and the lasting joy that comes from exploring side by side.

Timberline Team

  • Founder

My journey began with a simple yet profound love for the great outdoors of Maine.

Recognizing the importance of quality outdoor time for our dogs, I set out on a mission to create opportunities for them to experience the beauty and adventure that Maine has to offer.

Timberline Treks was forged from this desire — a passion that merges my love for nature with ensuring the well-being and happiness of my own two, Kit and Goose.

As a Maine Guide, I am excited to work with you and your dog. I look forward to seeing you on the trail!

  • On Ramp Director & Photographer

Raised In Maine, Jesse embodies all that is Timberline. I don't believe there isn't anything he can't do, as you get to know him through your dog's training journey, you'll see for yourself!

When Jesse isn't chasing Sam on the trails for photo ops, he's running reps with our new pack members to get them ready for the big peaks.

Be sure to check out Envolez and enjoy the memories he captures behind his lens.

  • Pack Leader/ EMT

Ben is a highly motivated young professional whose depth of knowledge and work ethic far exceed his years. He brings a strong foundation in emergency medical care and first aid, supported by EMT training and ongoing medical education as he works through medical school.

Ben also has extensive hands-on experience in retriever training, cadaver work, search and rescue, and general canine training, giving him a deep respect for both the physical and mental needs of working dogs. Grounded, focused, and deeply connected to time spent outdoors, Ben approaches each trek with intention—balancing thoughtful care with engaging, enriching experiences for the dogs.

  • Pack Leader

Michelle is a Pack Leader at Timberline Treks with extensive experience in canine training and a background working with The Maine Pack. She brings a calm, thoughtful approach to pack management, focusing on clear communication, structure, and creating safe, enriching experiences for every dog. Michelle’s caring, observant lens allows her to support each dog as an individual while maintaining strong, balanced group dynamics on the trail.

Outside of Timberline, Michelle enjoys exploring Maine, often golfing with her husband—and spending time with her Irish Setter, Callaway, who you’ll likely see out on the trails with the pack.
